Memorandum of Association of the Institute of Export

(Adopted by Special Resolution passed 11th July 1973 and Amended by Special Resolution passed 29th June 1976)

A) The objects for which the Institute is established are:

1. To promote industry and commerce particularly international trade in goods and services of all kinds.
2. To examine research and analyse problems connected with industry and commerce and particularly international trade in goods and services of all kinds and to publish the results of such work together with recommendations and advice to make the same available to all persons forms or companies whether or not members of the Institute.
3. To advance public education as to commerce and industry and particularly the need for exports and the method of realising the same and further to educate those who are or may become involved or interested in international trade in aspects of the same.

1. To offer membership of the Institute to any person who may satisfy the membership requirements for various categories of membership from time to time laid down in the Articles and Bye-Laws and Regulations of the Institute.
2. To devise and impose means for testing knowledge of international trade particularly the knowledge of those wishing to become members of the Institute and to grant certificates of qualification to such persons as the Institute may think fit.
3. To hold conferences and meetings to discuss consider and promote methods of attaining the objects of the institute.
4. To advise the government and other authorities on all aspects of international trade and on the education and training of those involved therein.
5. To increase and disseminate publicly knowledge and expertise and to encourage the exchange of information and ideas in regard to all matters connected with international trade.
